Fall 2020 Classes Yoga- Yoga is a great practice for learners of all ages. It supports health, wellbeing, empowerment and improves our capacity to navigate the many stressors of life without being overwhelmed. This 60-minute yoga class will introduce your child to building awareness of their breath and body. They will learn some traditional yoga poses and feel how they strengthen and stretch their body through proper alignment. Yoga will to calm the mind and relax the body. Mandarin Class- Learn Mandarin using games, stories, videos and more. ART SAFARI-We are going to take a safari around the world! Visit a new country each week and learn about animals native to the country with a sprinkle of literature, dabble of games, and a whole lot of art. Grab your passport and discover the thrill of the hunt without leaving school! Head, Shoulder, Knees & Toes- Get your body moving with active songs, learning games, and creative play all designed to strengthen the core muscles and motor planning skills used for fine motor skills. Children will learn correct letter and number formation, pencil grip and scissor skills as we use our Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes! We will explore fun hands-on techniques to help your child grip the pencil correctly and control fine motor muscles effectively through a variety of multisensory activities.
